Biography
Simon Peter Makobi possesses extensive professional experience in software development, artificial intelligence research, ICT training, and technology leadership. As Founder of Codespark Technologies, he leads the delivery of innovative technology solutions including web and mobile application development, graphic design, and ICT support services, driving digital transformation for clients across diverse sectors.
He holds a BSc degree in Computer Science from Kabale University.
In his capacity as a technology leader within the academic community, Simon has served as Lead for Google Developer Groups (GDG) on Campus – Kabale University and Team Leader of the IndabaX AI Club. Through these roles, he has coordinated developer programs, facilitated technical workshops, and guided student-led innovation initiatives, contributing significantly to building sustainable tech communities and advancing practical digital skills among students and young professionals.
His research interests focus on applied artificial intelligence, particularly AI-enhanced surveillance systems and intelligent technologies for improving public safety and security infrastructure.
