Office of the Principal

The Office of the Principal serves as the primary academic and administrative leadership centre of All Nations Theological College and Seminary (ANTS). The Principal is the Chief Executive Officer of the institution and is responsible for the overall governance, spiritual direction, academic integrity, and administrative operations of the Seminary in accordance with the ANTS Constitution, Board resolutions, and applicable regulatory frameworks.


The Principal provides visionary leadership in alignment with the mission of the institution — to make disciples of all nations through biblically grounded theological education and ministerial formation. In fulfilling this mandate, the Principal oversees the development and implementation of academic programmes, institutional policies, staff welfare, student affairs, and the Seminary's engagement with church, community, and global mission partners.


The Principal is directly accountable to the ANTS Governing Council through its Chairperson. As the head of the Senior Management Team, the Principal provides direct oversight to the Academic Registrar, the Dean of Students, the Chaplain, Heads of Department, and the Finance and Administration Office. The Principal also coordinates the Seminary's relationships with accreditation bodies, partner churches, and international theological networks.


In the absence of the Principal, the Deputy Principal or a duly designated senior officer assumes the responsibilities of the office in accordance with the provisions of the ANTS Constitution.

Duties & Responsibilities

Governance and Strategic Leadership

Spearheads and co-ordinates the development and review of institutional policies, strategic plans, and other interventions designed to achieve spiritual, academic, and administrative excellence in the Seminary's programmes.
Provides visionary leadership aligned with the mission of ANTS — making disciples of all nations through biblically grounded theological education and ministerial formation.
Ensures the Seminary operates in accordance with the ANTS Constitution, Board resolutions, and applicable regulatory frameworks.


Management and Fiscal Control

As Chief Executive Officer of the Seminary, is responsible for maintaining efficiency, effectiveness, and good governance of the institution.
Provides efficient leadership to the Seminary through co-ordinating the effective implementation of strategic management plans and Board resolutions.
Directs and supervises the Senior Management Team responsible for the academic, financial, and administrative functions of the Seminary and monitors their performance in line with prescribed performance standards.
Mobilises both internal and external resources necessary for the implementation of the Seminary's policies, plans, and programmes.
Oversees the acquisition and fair allocation of resources to various academic bodies and administrative units of the Seminary.

Responsibility to the Governing Council

Is directly accountable to the ANTS Governing Council through its Chairperson and presents the Seminary's position and recommendations on various issues and challenges requiring Board intervention as prescribed by the ANTS Constitution.
Causes to be prepared and submits specific reports to the Board as instructed.
Is responsible to the Board for the general conduct and discipline of Seminary staff and students.
 

Responsibility to the Senate

As Chairperson of the Senate, directs the implementation of Senate decisions and ensures academic integrity across all programmes of the Seminary.
Provides oversight to the Academic Registrar, the Dean of Students, the Chaplain, Heads of Department, and the Finance and Administration Office.
Academic and Spiritual Oversight

Oversees the development and implementation of academic programmes, ensuring they remain aligned with the Seminary's theological mandate and accreditation standards.
Champions the spiritual direction and ministerial formation ethos of the institution across all departments and student life.
Ensures the maintenance of academic integrity and quality assurance standards in all teaching, research, and assessment activities.

External Liaison

Represents the Seminary externally in order to promote awareness and understanding of the ANTS mission, objectives, policies, and programmes.
Co-ordinates the Seminary's relationships with accreditation bodies, partner churches, international theological networks, and global mission partners.
Key spokesperson of the Seminary on all matters.
